About Cathleen

Hi! I’m Cathleen, based in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. I’ve spent over 4 years working in customer service, collections, and healthcare billing for U.S. clients, mostly in dental and medical offices.

I started in call center work, then moved into medical collections, insurance verification, and dental billing and claims. Along the way I handled claims, benefits verification, payment posting, and appeals. I was recognized as a top performer in 2023 and 2025 for my accuracy and productivity, and my monthly collections averaged 95%.

One of my proudest moments was winning an appeal on a claim that had been unpaid for 3 years. It had been denied several times, and I filed the external appeal myself until it was finally paid.

I know how hard it is to start in this field because the terms, codes, and insurance rules can feel confusing at first. That’s why I teach in plain, simple words and with real examples from actual work, so you can learn faster and feel confident.

I’m patient, I like answering questions, and I want you to finish my lessons feeling ready for a real job.

About the lesson

In my lessons, I teach you dental and medical billing the way it’s really done at work, not just theory. I’ve worked in dental billing and insurance for years, handling claims, insurance verification, payment posting, and appeals for U.S. dental offices. I was recognized as a top performer for my accuracy and productivity.

What you will learn:

How to verify a patient’s insurance benefits step by step
How to read and submit claims (CMS-1500 and 837P forms)
Common dental codes and what they mean
How to follow up on unpaid claims and handle denials
How to write and file appeals, including for old unpaid claims
How to use payer portals and practice software like Open Dental
Basic HIPAA rules every billing worker must know

How my lessons work:

One-on-one, online, at your own pace
Beginner-friendly, no experience needed
Real examples from actual billing work (with patient details removed)
Practice exercises and mock interview questions if you’re applying for a billing or call center job

Who it’s for: anyone who wants to start a remote billing career, call center agents moving into healthcare, or office staff who want to improve their claims skills.

I’ll explain everything in simple words, answer all your questions, and help you feel confident for your first billing job.

Short version (if there’s a character limit)

I teach dental and medical billing based on my real work experience in U.S. dental offices. You’ll learn insurance verification, claim submission, denial follow-up, and appeals in simple, step-by-step lessons. Beginner-friendly, one-on-one, and flexible. Perfect for anyone who wants to start a remote billing career.
