About Kate
Hi! My name is Kate, I'm from Wisconsin, and I am a student at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. I have been tutoring and assisting students with essays and test-prep for 3 years now, and I really enjoy watching my students improve and grow. My goal when tutoring is to assess the skillset of my students so that we can target specific areas to improve quickly and efficiently. In my lessons, we will dissect your writings in order to be more concise, compelling, and clean. I can't wait to get to know you and your writing style!

Our typical lesson plan would last for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Depending on the help that you require, I would either request that you bring a sample of your writing or a draft of the essay that you are working on. If you are working on reading comprehension, I would prepare questions and a timed reading in order to improve cognition and speed for test-taking purposes. My lessons are best aimed at high school students who are either preparing for SAT/ACT tests or preparing essays for applications. I stand apart as a tutor because of my writing abilities. I have been accepted into several prestigious and selective universities in part due to my essay-writing, and I have helped many other students to improve their applications as well.
