About Linnea
Hi, I’m Linnea. I’m a young acting student here in beautiful Vancouver. I was born and raised in Germany and lived there until this year. Last year, I successfully graduated from high school (germ.: Gymnasium), majoring in German and English. You can probably tell from my course selections that I really love languages. I love seeing how communication works and exploring the unique features, quirks, and beauties of different languages. Of course, it’s often hard to recognize the peculiarities of your own language, but when you have international friends, you’re forced to think about it and that’s how you discover your own language on a whole new level. That’s exactly what I hope for in our lessons together: to discover and understand the German language together. Of course, as a native speaker, I have an unfair advantage here, but I think that when I’m teaching, this advantage is actually quite practical and important XD

Learning new languages and having the courage to show off your skills is both scary and exciting. I’ve felt that way many times myself, but that’s the beauty of learning languages. You push yourself beyond your limits and open up so many new possibilities. Whether it’s for traveling, finally being able to talk to relatives or friends, or understanding your favorite movies or music, it’s simply fantastic. I want to adapt to the individual goals and needs of my students and explore my native language, German, together with them. In doing so, I will draw on my experience as a tutor in Germany.
