About Lars
I am a classical tenor from Switzerland who grew up bilingually with German and Swedish. I have given additional language coaching for opera scenes and performance projects at Trinity Laban as well as private coaching sessions.

The most important thing in singing is the story and thus the text. I believe that even if an audience doesn’t understand the language, they are able to tell whether the language sounds authentic and correct. By setting a certain text, the composer allowed for the natural flow of the language. It is equally as important to slightly adapt the sound of the language from speaking to singing, which is why I always work with speaking the text first but then singing it and trying to find the best way for the individual student to sound more natural.
