About Jessica
I am a graduate of Munich Medical School (2004) and of the Master's program in History at the University of Calgary (2016). I have been teaching German for three years. Apart from everyday German, I am proficient in medical and historical vocabulary. I usually spend the first two or three lessons in conversation with my students to learn about their life and interests or needs. From here, I will prepare lessons geared towards those needs, alternating between vocabulary training, listening comprehension, writing, grammar exercises, and speaking. Any ideas or hobbies that the student brings into the lesson are welcome and will be worked with.

The classes will be very hands-on and will include a substantial amount of conversation (at the appropriate level). I will have some topics to start with, (for example asking for directions or ordering food, speaking about hobbies) but it will really be centred around the student so that they have the opportunity to cover what interests them.

I found Jessica through her profile on Superprof.ca. We worked together to study French.
Jessica is a patient and experienced language teacher. She was very interested in working at my level and provided gentle but consistent feedback.
One thing she really did well was provide resources and suggestions for practice and continued learning outside of our session, which I think is key to progress.
I really recommend her highly to anyone trying to learn one of the multiple languages that she teaches.Jessica is a great teacher. I was trying to learn French and she was there to help and motivate me through the process. I struggled with pronunciation and she was kind to teach me the right way of pronouncing the words. Also she helped understand the grammar and taught me the correct way of making good sentences. Jessica is so knowledgeable , kind and helpful. My French has improved a lot!
Every class is scenario oriented,easy , funny and relaxing environment at the same time I learnt the language, culture and confidence.
I think she is a great teacher, she leaves me with the sources , answer the questions. it's an autonomous , interactive teaching style which makes learning easily going.
