Pedagogue by passion with 20+ years of international teaching experience.

My educational journey started at the University of Munich, where I completed one year of Medical Studies before discovering my true calling: education. I graduated with a degree in Grammar School Education (Gymnasiales Lehramt) specialising in Biology and Sports.
Throughout my professional life, I have always worked as an independent entrepreneur. This has shaped my adaptability, problem-solving skills, and deep empathy for my learners. More than 30 years ago, I moved to Spain, where I successfully combined my two passions: sports and languages. For years, I ran my own equestrian school, training riders and horses, while simultaneously building a career in language tuition (German, English and French), with a strong focus on German as my native language.
I have extensive experience tutoring students of all profiles:
• Children from age 5.
• Teenagers and students (High School and University).
• Professionals and adults.
I describe myself as a dynamic teacher with great patience, but at the same time demanding and deeply committed to the progress of each individual student. To me, teaching is about understanding how your brain works and finding the most engaging, efficient path to unlock your full potential.

Hello! I am Barbara, a licensed pedagogue and native German speaker from Munich. With over 20 years of experience in language teaching, I am here to show you that learning German can be fun, highly effective, and completely stress-free!
What makes me different?
My background is in professional education (trained at the University of Munich for Grammar School / Academic High School teaching). I deeply understand that everyone learns differently.
• Tailored Solutions: I find the perfect, customised method for your specific needs—especially if you struggle with learning difficulties, language blocks, or if you feel completely stuck with German grammar. With me, you will learn at your own pace without any frustration!
• Expert for Spanish Speakers: I am living in Spain since over 30 years. Because of this, I perfectly understand the unique hurdles, errors, and specific difficulties Spanish speakers face when learning German.
• Classes in Spanish: I speak the language fluently. This is an incredible help for Spanish-speaking students when explaining complex grammar rules. As you progress to higher proficiency levels, we will increasingly use German for explanations.
• German via English: I warmly welcome international students! I successfully teach German using ENGLISH as the language of instruction (perfect for English native speakers or Asian students).

My Method:
Active GERMAN Speaking from Day One
My success is based on highly efficient, communicative methods. We focus heavily on correct pronunciation and practical usage:
• Real-life Simulations: We practice with fun role-plays (e.g., ordering in a restaurant, handling hotel check-ins).
• Diverse Materials: Customised PDFs, modern textbooks, reading short stories (from level A1), and real German news articles (from level B1).
• Continuous Support: I provide a curated list of German TV programmes and online exercises that I personally correct for you outside of class.
Availability:
Monday to Thursday, from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM CET.
Special note for students: If you have university classes in the afternoon, exceptions can be made for sessions starting as early as 12:00 PM (noon).

Hallo! Ich bin Barbara. Als lizenzierte Pädagogin mit über 20 Jahren Erfahrung helfe ich Ihnen, die deutsche Sprache mit Freude und Struktur zu meistern.
Was mich auszeichnet / ¿Qué me hace diferente?
Ich bringe eine fundierte pädagogische Ausbildung mit (Lehramtsstudium für Gymnasien an der Universität München). Ich weiß genau, dass jeder Mensch anders lernt.
• Individuelle Lösungen: Ich finde für jeden Schüler die passende Lösung – besonders bei Lernschwierigkeiten, Blockaden oder wenn Sie mit der Grammatik kämpfen. Bei mir lernen Sie in Ihrem eigenen Tempo und ganz ohne Frust!
• Spezialistin für spanische Muttersprachler: Da ich seit über 30 Jahren in Spanien lebe, verstehe ich die ganz spezifischen Hürden und Probleme von Spaniern beim Deutschlernen ganz genau.
• Unterricht auf Spanisch: Ich kann grammatikalische Hürden perfekt auf Spanisch erklären. Das gibt Ihnen von der ersten Stunde an maximale Sicherheit. Wenn Sie höhere Niveaustufen erreichen, werden wir zunehmend Deutsch auch für Erklärungen verwenden.
• Internationaler Support: Für internationale Studenten kann der Unterricht flexibel auch auf ENGLISCH als Vermittlungssprache stattfinden.

• Maßgeschneiderter Online-Unterricht: Für alle Niveaus (A1-C2) und jedes Alter. Von spielerischem Unterricht für Kinder ab 5 Jahren (durch interaktive Geschichten, selbst wenn sie noch nicht lesen können) bis hin zur gezielten Vorbereitung auf höherem Niveau (Fortgeschrittene).
• Sommer-Intensivkurse: Starten Sie im JUNI, JULI und AUGUST voll durch.
• Gezielte Vorbereitung: Goethe-Zertifikate, Abitur, Erasmus, Bewerbungsgespräche und fließende Konversation für den Alltag.

Wir trainieren von Anfang an das gesprochene und geschriebene Deutsch mit Fokus auf eine exzellente Aussprache:
• Lebendige Rollenspiele mit Spaß: Wir simulieren echte Alltagssituationen (z. B. als Gast und Kellner im Restaurant oder bei einer Reklamation im Hotel).
• Abwechslungsreiche Materialien: Moderne Lehrbücher, eigene PDFs,
das Lesen kurzer Geschichten (ab Niveau A1) sowie aktuelle Zeitungsartikel (ab Niveau B1).
• Medien & Alltag: Empfehlungen für deutsche TV-Sendungen und Online-Übungen mit persönlicher Korrektur durch mich.
Verfügbarkeit:
Montag bis Donnerstag, nachmittags und abends (von 15:00 bis 23:00 Uhr).
Ausnahme für Studenten: Sollten Sie nachmittags Vorlesungen haben, sind Termine nach Absprache bereits flexibel ab 12:00 Uhr mittags möglich.
