About Sergio
Sound often starts as a messy tangled web of cables and vague concepts in my small bedroom studio. I spent 3 years helping people turn rough ideas into tracks they are proud of while earning my BFA Music Technology from NYU Steinhardt. Gaining technical fluency means learning gain staging and signal flow alongside essential home studio setup tasks.
Mastering synthesis and sound design allows you to carve out your own sonic signature. Working with gigging musicians and career switchers often reveals how daunting the DAW can look at first. We break the process into small wins so finishing never feels overwhelming or impossible. You will learn tempo and groove to keep your tracks moving forward.
I cover beat making and drum programming to add character to your arrangements. EQ and compression become tools for clarity rather than technical hurdles to fear. It is genuinely fun to watch a student realize that their rough idea is finally becoming a finished record.

Complexity is actually the enemy of good music when you are starting a new track. My first session focuses on getting your workspace ready so the creative flow remains uninterrupted for hours.
Having my NYU degree helps me explain why specific signal paths matter in your home studio setup. We apply these technical concepts to your own music immediately to keep things grounded. I rely on my 3 years of experience to ensure we never get stuck in the weeds of software menus. You will see how beat making and drum programming fit into your broader arrangement goals.
Using EQ and compression becomes a logical step once we align your tempo and groove. Everything we do serves the goal of finishing your record with confidence. Making music should feel like a process of discovery rather than a fight against the computer.
