About Asa
With 7 years of experience as a violin tutor, I have successfully taught around 300 students, including high school students, college learners, and adults, helping them develop both skill and confidence in music. My teaching approach is simple, structured, and student-focused, as I believe learning should be clear and enjoyable at the same time.
I focus on important techniques such as posture, bowing, rhythm, intonation, and tone production, and I make sure to break down each concept into easy steps. I also guide students on how to practise effectively outside of lessons, which helps them improve faster.
One of my proud achievements is helping students progress from beginners to confident players who can perform with ease. I aim to create a comfortable and supportive learning environment where students feel confident, motivated, and excited about learning violin.

My violin teaching methodology focuses on clear communication, flexibility, and real-world application of musical skills. I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style and pace, ensuring that both technical and expressive aspects of playing are developed. I emphasise posture, bowing, fingering, tone, intonation, phrasing, and musical interpretation while encouraging creativity and personal expression.
Lessons are enriched with real-life examples such as performing favourite songs, playing along with accompaniment, and understanding music’s emotional impact. I also teach supporting subjects like music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, sight-reading, and basic piano skills to strengthen overall musicianship. My aim is to provide a motivating and structured environment where students progress confidently and enjoy their musical journey.
