About Harshita
Hello! I am a professional playback singer in the Telugu Film Industry (TFI), a Graded Artist of All India Radio (AIR), and a Gold Medalist in MA Music from Andhra University, with over 10 years of experience in teaching and performing Indian vocal music. Music has been a part of my life since the age of six. With a strong foundation in Carnatic music, devotional, light, folk, bhajans, and film music, I have performed in over 500 concerts and continue to share my passion through personalized vocal training. Education & Training : -MA Music (Gold Medalist) – Andhra University. -Diploma in Music (First Class) – Andhra University. -Five-Year Diploma in Classical Music – Sangeetha Janakulam. -Graduate in BA English Literature, Psychology & Office Management. Playback Singing Career : I’ve had the privilege of working as a playback singer in the Telugu film industry, lending my voice to films like: -Irugapatru -Racharikam -Miss Shetty Mr. Polishetty -Tenant -Bharateeyans, and more My playback work spans melodious tracks, devotional songs, and emotional ballads, blending classical discipline with cinematic expression. I bring this experience into my teaching—helping students understand how to emote, deliver, and refine their voice for recording environments. Major Achievements : -Winner of "Paadutha Theeyaga" Season 18 (Senior Category). -Featured artist in TTD’s Dasa Sahitya CD "Haridasa Gaana Vaibhava". -Jnanabheri Awardee (2018) – Honored by former CM of Andhra Pradesh Sri N. Chandrababu Naidu. -Recipient of the Cultural Talent Search Scholarship, Govt. of India. -First Prize at Sri Purandaradasa Aradhana Mahotsavam (2014) – among 10,000 participants. -Regular performer for TTD’s devotional and bhakti music programs. -Honored for vocal excellence in numerous statewide music festivals and competitions. Stage Performance Highlights : I’ve performed at: -Kala Bharati Auditorium (Visakhapatnam) – Classical concert with Andhra Music Academy. -Godavari & Krishna Pushkarams, Karthika Brahmotsavam, and Sahasra Deepalankarana Seva – Organized by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). -Private and corporate events, singing devotional, classical, and popular film songs. -Music festivals, aradhana celebrations, and cultural gatherings across Andhra Pradesh and beyond. As a Playback Singer in the Telugu Film Industry (TFI), a Graded Artist of All India Radio (AIR), and a Gold Medalist in MA Music, I bring over 10 years of rich teaching experience in Indian vocal music.
I specialize in Carnatic, devotional, light, folk, bhajans, and film music.
Teaching Techniques & Methodology :
-I create a comfortable and friendly environment, helping students relax and express their natural voice from the very first class.
-Every session begins with warm-ups or simple vocal exercises tailored to the student's voice type.
-I teach songs step-by-step with detailed explanations of:
Ragam (melody)
Talam (rhythm)
Composer and Lyricist
Lyrics meaning and expression
-My classes are interactive: I ask questions, encourage participation, and use real-time feedback to boost understanding and confidence.
