About Gretcheliz
Hello! I’m Gretcheliz, a Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT) and experienced ESL tutor with 2 years of experience teaching learners from different backgrounds.
I teach English and Tagalog, my native language, to children, teenagers, young professionals, and adults. As a professional teacher, I believe that every learner has a different pace and learning style, so I make my lessons friendly, practical, and personalized to each student’s needs and goals.
I focus on building confidence through conversation, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and real-life communication. I am patient, supportive, and committed to creating a comfortable learning environment where students can feel confident speaking and making mistakes as part of the learning process.

My Approach as a Tutor
As a tutor, I believe that learning should be simple, engaging, and comfortable for every student. I adjust my teaching style based on the learner’s age, level, needs, and learning pace. I use clear explanations, examples, visual aids, gestures, repetition, and real-life situations to make lessons easier to understand.
Teaching Methods and Techniques
I use a student-centered approach. I encourage students to participate, ask questions, speak, and practice what they learn. For English lessons, I focus on conversation, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and everyday communication. I also use TPR, facial expressions, pictures, and interactive activities, especially when teaching children.
Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson starts with a friendly greeting and a short review of the previous lesson. I then introduce the new topic and explain the key vocabulary or concepts using simple examples. Students practice through questions, conversations, activities, or exercises. At the end, I review the lesson and give positive feedback while checking the student’s understanding.
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
What makes me different is my patience, adaptability, and ability to build a comfortable connection with my students. I believe students learn better when they feel supported and confident. I also know when to move forward when a student already understands a lesson so that classes remain productive and enjoyable.

I offer lessons for children, teenagers, young professionals, and adults, from beginner to intermediate levels. I can provide English tutoring focused on conversation, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, and practical everyday English. I also offer Tagalog tutoring, as Tagalog is my native language, for learners who want to develop their speaking, vocabulary, pronunciation, and everyday communication skills.
My goal is to help every learner become more confident, independent, and comfortable using the language in real-life situations.
