About Colin
While studying for my degree in Biomedical Engineering, I tutored for a local company helping K-12 children in core concepts as well as ACT/SAT prep in mathematics for 2 years. During this time I discovered my passion for passing on my knowledge of mathematics and the physical sciences such as biology, chemistry, and physics, to those who were truly dedicated to improving themselves. It is my belief that mathematics and the sciences can be something anyone understands and excels in. Sometimes, they just need the right teacher to take things at their speed and help them overcome their obstacles.

When it comes to teaching, I prefer to take a one-on-one approach with my students for high focus sessions specializing in higher level math subjects typically seen in middle school, high school, and introductory college levels. When teaching I will typically emphasize the concepts and possible real word applications of the subject before breaking down equations and problems into step by step solutions. I do this to ensure that not only can my students tackle specific problems, but they leave with an understanding of how to apply the fundamentals of the concept to any problems they may see in their schoolwork.
