About Tanika
I'm a professional Bharatanatyam (and Bollywood) dancer, choreographer, and a part- time dance teacher who believes in reviving the ancient practice of Bharata Muni's Natyashastra .
I have about 18 years of experience as a dancer and teacher both in fields of Bharatayam and Bollywood dancing. I was trained under Smt. Vijaya Sangeetha and Shri. Rajesh.
I encourage students to learn this style of dancing as its contemplative, rejuvenating, improves your well-being.

About the lesson

Bharatanatyam (Kalakshetra style) and Bollywood Dance Trainer, Overall 18 years of experience as Learner and Teacher.
Basic Level : Students learn the origins and meaning behind the dance, as well as selections from 'adavus', 'taala' and 'multiple recital pieces'.
Basic Level Take away: Gains specific knowhow on the fundamental foot movements, hand gestures, and expressions to be able to perform to a shloka, through the beginner basics medium of Bharatanatyam.
Course Time : 1 and half hour classes weekly for compulsorily 8 weeks, can be extended to 24 weeks.
Session: Either one-to-one or group, as preferred by student.
Age group: 7 years to any.
