About Alisa

Hello! My name is Alisa, and I'm an English teacher with a passion and over 20 years of experience. I love making English easy, understandable, and enjoyable for learners of all generations. I believe, my superpower is explaining complex things in simple terms :)

Based in England, I specialise in helping Polish and Russian speakers adapt to life, studies, and work in the UK through my lessons. I bridge the gap between your native language and the English-speaking world.

I teach two distinct and wonderful age groups:

Teenagers (13-15): Looking to boost their school grades, adjust to the UK school system, and build classroom confidence.

Mature Learners (up to 80+): Who need English in their daily life or work, want to keep their minds sharp, practice active conversation, and connect with others.

I host my lessons online via MS Teams.

So far I've helped many of my students to:

- successfully pass their exams (e.g. school graduation exams, FCE, junior-high and high school exams),
- become more fluent in English,
- get better jobs,
- I even managed to help - within 8 hours (!) - one student to move to the next grade at school.

About the lesson

Small Groups, Big Results

My lessons are uniquely designed around micro-groups of strictly 3 students.

This format gives you the absolute best of both worlds: it is highly affordable, yet small enough that you receive plenty of personal attention and maximum speaking time with peers of your same age group.

Duration: 90 minutes per session (giving us plenty of time to learn, practice, and chat without feeling rushed).

Platform: MS Teams (easy to use from the comfort of your home).

Price: Just £15 per person per 90-minute lesson.

Global English with a UK Context

I studied American English, which means I teach with a clear, globally recognised accent that many international learners find much easier to understand and practice.

However, because I live in England, I offer a unique advantage: I will happily point out the key differences in spelling, vocabulary, and pronunciation between British and American English (like elevator vs lift, or color vs colour).

You will develop a clear, confident international accent while fully understanding British English.
