About Nadia
I am a Coastal Environmental Scientist with background in natural sciences, oceanography, and coastal systems. I have volunteered at schools (K-12) in Louisiana teaching environmental science and natural sciences. My students have been able to rely on me for a multitude of subjects such as biology, algebra, chemistry, and especially environmental science. I have a passion for kids and knowledge with a 5 year background in nannying and babysitting. I also have held presentations and forums for adults to become more knowledgeable of my research as well as overarching concepts in natural sciences.

With a recent degree from LSU, I find my age to be relatable to a number of age groups. My goal is for each student no matter the age to feel confident and accomplished while learning in my sessions! I have found ways to make information exciting for kids by creating cut outs and fun activities for them to complete. I find science, especially the ocean to be interesting for younger students and I love bringing excitement into my sessions. Adults tend to learn easier when they can connect dots in larger concepts and then learn specifics which is typically my approach when teaching older students. Of course all of my methods are modified to the learning style of each student. There is no hard outline to ensure success of learning without knowing my students weaknesses and strengths!
