About Logan
I have been playing guitar since the first grade, and the instrument has been an incredible companion for the last 17 years of my life. I've been in several bands, and performed in various small venues in my hometown of Salt Lake City.
When I started college I began teaching guitar on the side as a way to supplement my income, and I quickly fell in love with music education. The joy in a students eyes when they finally nail a chord progression or difficult run of notes never gets old! I find myself learning right alongside my students, and it's incredibly gratifying to share such an important part of my life with others.

About the lesson

I use a technique driven structure wherein the student first learns a skill on the guitar such as proper fingering of notes, bar chords, or strumming patterns, then chooses a song to learn which will incorporate that technique. I find this approach allows for a comprehensive guitar experience, while ensuring engagement as the student is involved in choosing the material.
My experience is primarily with beginner students, either those just starting out or those without professional lesson experience.
