About Melanie
I am a recent graduate with a degree in Exercise Physiology and a strong passion for helping students succeed in science and health-related courses. Throughout my academic journey, I developed a deep understanding of anatomy and physiology and learned effective study strategies that helped me overcome challenges and excel in difficult coursework.
I understand that subjects like anatomy and physiology can feel intimidating, especially with the amount of memorization and critical thinking involved. Because of this, I focus on creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to help them build confidence in their abilities and develop study habits that will benefit them long-term.
I can relate to the challenges students face and provide clear, relatable explanations that make complex material easier to understand. I am professional, dependable, patient, and committed to helping each student reach their academic goals.

I’m an anatomy and physiology tutor for high school and undergraduate college students who want to improve their understanding, confidence, and performance in class. My teaching approach is patient, supportive, and personalized to each student’s learning style. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand explanations while connecting material to real-life examples and applications.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing previous material and identifying areas the student may be struggling with. From there, we work through concepts step-by-step using diagrams, practice questions, active recall, and study techniques designed to improve long-term understanding rather than simple memorization.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to make difficult topics feel approachable and less overwhelming. I understand that anatomy and physiology can be challenging subjects, so I strive to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and build confidence in their abilities. My background in exercise physiology also allows me to connect anatomical and physiological concepts to movement, health, and real-world function.
