About David
I have an undergraduate degree in music from the University of Nebraska and a master's in sacred music from Covenant Theological Seminary. I have performed in orchestras ranging from musicals, symphony orchestras, and small ensembles.
I understand the process of learning how to play. I have been blessed with teachers who have reminded me about how much fun the music-making process is.

A good teacher shows a student not just what to practice but how. This method empowers the student. I feel that this method makes room for the student to discover what they musically can do. I also believe the theory is where music is learned. Knowing the theory behind the music makes performing and experiencing that much more fulfilling.
A lesson plan is allowing room for mistakes. This is where the growth happens. I like to consider myself a safety net, I'm there when needed, but am not going to be overbearing. Enjoying the process of music-making is my ultimate goal.
