About Gabriel
Hi! My name is Gabriel Balado, and I’m a Peruvian bass player currently based in New Jersey. I studied for five years at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory in Argentina, where I graduated in 2023. I’ve been teaching music for the past seven years, and aside from performing, teaching is one of my greatest passions. The relationship between student and teacher is a unique and special one, and it’s incredibly rewarding to witness each student's growth and progress from one lesson to the next.

Personalized Music Lessons for All Levels (Double Bass, Electric Bass, Guitar, Piano)
Learn at your own pace! All lessons are completely personalized, tailored to the student’s level and interests. From absolute beginners to advanced players, we will explore various areas such as: technique, improvisation, specific music styles and their characteristics, sight reading, music theory, and everything that comes up during the lessons.
You'll also have access to a Google Drive folder with books, audio references, and useful links, as well as a journal where we track what we've studied in class and upcoming topics.

Perfect! As someone who is in the music industry, I highly recommend Gabriel.
My daughter has improved exponentially in the last four months since she began lessons. She loves working with Gabriel. He's patient and takes his time to explain and make sure his student understands what he's teaching.
Additionally, after hearing him play, I had to hire him for a professional project, I was working on. He brought his "A" game, which elevated the project.

I totally recommend Gabriel as a bass guitar teacher. I’ve had the experience of being his student, and I’ve also seen him play live, which makes it even clearer how solid a musician he is. He’s an amazing performer and really knows his instrument, but he’s also a great teacher, patient, clear, and easy to learn from. Lessons are fun and he always adapted to what I want to learn. Very inspiring!
Gabriel is an excellent teacher! Super inspiring :) I have noticed a lot of improvement in only a few lessons. Definitely recommend him to anyone looking to know more about music and bass.
I known Gabriel Balado since 2017 and his talent always show up when he plays either electric or upright bass. Playing from R&B, Pop, Reggae, Hip Hop, Salsa, Merengue, Afro- Peruvian music, jazz, Blues, etc.He is a versatile musician and complete. Not only that but as a person he engages super quick with his students and people in general in a way that makes you understand music in an easy way with no pressure. What makes him a truly wonderful musician and Teacher. Gabriel counts with multiple resources to teach as well as material to back up his lessons. I would highly recommend Gabriel to be a teacher/mentor to help anybody to get better at this beautiful world of music.
My youngest brother took bass lessons from Gabriel for 3 years. It was the best decission I made for my then 10yo brother's education. Balado's deep understanding of music, teaching approaches and patience to solve in-the-moment questions to a first time learner (via Zoom & in person) were exceptional. Mauricio (my brother) felt confident, motivated, and wants to be a professional musician. A huge part of that is thanks to Gabriel.
