About Andrés
I am a historical oboist, which means my degree was centered around researching surviving sources to apply that knowledge to my performance practice. In other words, we are trained to become successful musicians, to which is added the study of tratises and methods that were used at the time the music we are performing was written. I studied at the Royal College of Music, where I obtained my Bachelors and Masters degrees. I have had the honour of performing with many of the UK's leading period instrument orchestras, as evidenced by my CV.

I can teach historical oboe (i.e, baroque and classical) and modern oboe for beginners. I can offer in person or online lessons, and make reeds for baroque and modern oboes.
The most important aspect of teaching is to see the students progress, which can be best achieved by not only constant, but smart practice. I have a passion for sharing knowledge, and consider the student's success in their musical endeavours as my main goal.
