About Joel
Joel McFarlane , owner of Faux Boy , has studied Fine Art and Menswear within London.
Brand Bio:
Faux Boy is an east London based designer. Creating with the need to dress the misfits within a real sense of what a day look is for the most queer and subversive people, disregarding rules and ideals. Made to be stomped in everyday, night and morning after. A focus on Camp, Horror and Homoerotic aesthetics. Cutting through the industry with a blade of originality. Sharp and ready to make damage.
After struggling to find my own voice within normally education my lesson will also focus on curating clear communication with the student/ their work and building there own confidence too.

Building confidence to design is all about knowledge , research and a strong sense of communication through your work.
My lessons aim to help build on students portfolio and teach design concepts to build 3d ideas.
Teaching students to navigate the entire process from concept , to design and outcome.
I also offer another service for anyone wanting to approach university’s or personal collection with building portfolio .
