About Madeleine
I graduated cum laude with a GPA of 3.96 from UCLA, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and a minor in Geography, as well as departmental honors and the Dean's Honors List. During high school, I earned a GPA of 4.34 while taking an abundance of AP and college courses. I also earned a 34 on the ACT, with a 36 on the science section, 35 on the English section, and a 34 on the reading section.
I have also, however, struggled in classes, received bad scores on tests, and felt completely lost in various subjects. I understand how beneficial a little bit more help and a different approach to teaching can be, and I would love to provide that extra push towards success for any students who are struggling.

- I aim to personalize my tutoring for each student, with creative teaching methods that meet unique individual needs.
- My lessons generally proceed as follows:
-Outlining goals for the session
-Warming up with a quick review
-Presenting and teaching core concepts
-Practice activity/worksheet to gauge understanding
-Student-led summary and review of the session
-As a graduate of UCLA, I have excelled in rigorous coursework and research. Through these experiences, I've gained a deep understanding of a multitude of subjects and applied these subjects to real-world practices like field research, laboratory work, and creating papers and presentations.
-I teach science, math, language arts, and social studies to middle and high-school students. I also tutor for the reading, writing, verbal, and science sections of the ACT and SAT.
