Hi, my name is Kayleigh! I’ve completed Year 12 and hold a Certificate III in Animal Care and Husbandry. I'm currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Animal Behavior at university, where I'm expanding my understanding of animal biology, behavior, and welfare. Alongside my science studies, I have a strong passion for English—especially essay writing, reading comprehension, and supporting students with learning difficulties. My approach to English tutoring is student-focused, supportive, and adaptable to individual learning needs. I aim to create a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable, understood, and motivated to improve. 1. Based on this, I develop a tailored learning plan that targets key areas such as reading comprehension, essay structure, grammar, vocabulary, and writing style. 2. Strengthening Core Skills I place a strong emphasis on building foundational skills in reading and writing. For reading, we work on active reading strategies, understanding themes, and analytical thinking. For writing, we focus on planning, paragraph structure, thesis development, and editing. 3. Step-by-Step Essay Guidance Essay writing can feel overwhelming, so I break the process down into clear, manageable steps. I guide students through brainstorming, outlining, drafting, and revising, while teaching techniques to express ideas clearly and confidently. 4. Support for Learning Difficulties I have experience working with students who face learning challenges. My sessions are patient, flexible, and use multisensory techniques to suit different learning styles. I prioritize building confidence and encouraging progress at a comfortable pace. 5. Ongoing Feedback and Encouragement Students receive constructive feedback after each session to highlight improvements and areas for growth. I celebrate small wins and help students stay motivated and engaged in their learning journey. My ultimate goal is to help students not only improve their academic performance but also gain confidence in their English skills for life beyond the classroom.
