About Laura
My name is Laura Forero, I'm a Colombian Opera Singer who loves teaching. I have a degree on Music performance from Universidad del Valle, where I learned about music theory and the interpretation of some instruments. I also have a master in Opera Performance, a certificate on Mexican Opera Performance, and I love arts and have studied different vocal techniques, instruments, dances... I speak Spanish and English fluent, I have a B2 level on French, and I am learning new things all the time.

As a voice teacher, I feel responsible for preparing students to achieve their goals, which could be: to go to college, learn how to sing for fun, and have better vocal techniques for other aspects of their lives; to develop understanding and appreciation for all styles of vocal music; to provide a musical and performing environment and education; to challenge my students to sing songs to their full capacities; to look for the right repertoire that can make them love music. As a human, I feel responsible for making the class or lesson space a safe space for the students' full expression; respecting the students’ culture and ideas; communicating in an assertive way and in the language I speak they feel more comfortable with.
