About Lourenço
Hi, My name is Lourenço Tato. I started doing live performances from an early age (11 years old). Played with a wide variety of artists with different styles such as jazz, rock, pop, fusion, among others. Played in various music festivals and venues in Portugal such as Vodafone Paredes de Coura, Queima da fitas de aveiro, Casa da musica do Porto, Hard Club, among others. I regularly play with different projects in several different venues in London, such as Servant Jazz Quarters, Strongroom, The old blue Last and The Lexington, having over 10 years of experience in live performance. Professional Drummer with an graduate degree, BMus Popular Music Performance in Drums. Extensive knowledge of drumming technique application in a variety of styles such as hip hop, drum and bass, rock, blues, jazz and many more. Strong knowledge in various musical instruments and music history.

Able to teach a variety of musical styles, including jazz, rock, pop and improvisation, coaching students towards taking examinations and performing live on stage. Uses an effective variety of specialist teaching techniques to make lessons fun and enjoyable. Helps students to understand musical theory and to develop different techniques and skills as a basis of their learning such as, dynamics, consistency, groove, fills and sight reading. I always encourage my students to learn songs they love. There's no better feeling than knowing how to play your favourite song. The first induction lesson is completely FREE.
