About Gro
I’m a recent Bachelor of Surveying (BSurv, Distinction) graduate from the University of Otago, now working full-time in the industry. Throughout my studies, I consistently achieved top marks in math and physics, and I’ve helped classmates and younger students overcome their learning hurdles along the way. What sets me apart is my ability to explain complex ideas in simple, relatable ways—because I remember exactly what it’s like to be on the other side of the desk! My lessons are friendly, focused, and results-driven, whether you need a boost for upcoming exams or want to build stronger foundations. As a recent graduate surveyor (BSurv, Distinction) now working in the field, I know how overwhelming NCEA maths and physics can feel—but I also know the shortcuts and study methods that actually work. My approach is practical, patient, and tailored to your needs: I break down tricky concepts into plain English, focus on exam strategies, and make sure every lesson feels clear and productive.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes (but I’m flexible if you need more or less time). I work with all high school levels—especially students aiming for NCEA Levels 1–3, or anyone wanting to build confidence for exams and assignments.
Whether you’re struggling to keep up, aiming for top marks, or just want to actually “get” maths and physics, my lessons are for you. We’ll use past papers, simple explanations, and real examples—so you walk away knowing exactly what to do next.
