About Julia
I am a recent graduate of Villanova University, where I had experience in many areas of campus life. From my academics in the English Department, to leading campus tours, working in Communications at a local school, teaching children how to read, and serving at after school programs in Philadelphia, I have a strong background in working with students and families. Now, I am working as a full-time news reporter, where I continue to be curious, ask questions, and tell important stories every day. I'm here to offer whatever support your student needs! Whether it's just starting to brainstorm/outline an essay or proofread a final draft, I'm here to help. With advanced students, I'll help you think through ideas and complicated texts to fully understand. I also have experience with younger students through teaching first grade students how to read with Teach for America's Ignite Fellowship program.
Additionally, I am offering college application essay and interview prep. With application season underway, I know how important it is to have a fully polished essay and be ready to ace an interview! As a full-time reporter, I ask questions for a living, and with my media and professional training, I can help your students make the best first impression by knowing what to expect.
