About Caroline
I have experience working with children in both professional and family settings, which has helped me develop strong communication, patience, and organisational skills. Through my work experience in professional environments, I have supported young people with their learning and development while maintaining a positive and structured atmosphere. In addition, my experience within a family setting has given me a practical understanding of how children learn, grow, and respond to different teaching approaches. The GCSE History course will be delivered through 1 hour and 30 minute lessons, with the initial lessons focusing on building students' knowledge and understanding of the core content and historical context required for the specification. These early sessions will introduce key events, individuals, and themes while developing students' chronological awareness and subject-specific vocabulary. Once a secure foundation of knowledge has been established, lessons will progressively introduce historical skills and examination techniques, including source analysis, interpretation evaluation, and the structure of different question types. Students will then be taught how to plan and write full exam responses, with regular opportunities to practise and refine their answers using examiner guidance, mark schemes, and model responses to build confidence and improve performance.
