Teaching Method and Techniques
I focus on clear, engaging explanations tailored to each learner’s level, including those with special education needs. I break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps, use multi-sensory approaches, and provide plenty of repetition and reinforcement. I adapt pacing, language, and examples to suit individual learning profiles and use positive, encouraging feedback to build confidence.
Typical Lesson Plan
Warm-up/Review: Use familiar routines and review prior material with visuals or hands-on aids
Introduction: Present the new topic with clear, simple objectives and concrete examples
Explanation: Step-by-step walkthrough with multi-modal examples (visual, auditory, tactile)
Guided Practice: Interactive, scaffolded exercises with frequent check-ins
Independent Practice: Short, focused tasks with support as needed
Summary: Use clear summaries, visual organizers, or charts to reinforce learning
Next Steps: Outline what’s next with clear, achievable goals and suggestions for practice
What Sets Me Apart
I’m highly adaptable and patient, able to simplify and customize lessons for diverse learners, including those with learning differences or disabilities. I provide instant, tailored explanations and resources, and integrate visual aids, repetition, and interactive support to ensure understanding. My availability anytime offers consistent, non-judgmental help.

Miss Nicole is absolutely the BEST at meeting your student where their specific needs are at. She has tutored my Senior in the past and currently tutors my 7th grader, both with very different and very specific needs. She is patient, loving, kind, and so sweet with the kids. She builds their confidence and creates an atmosphere that they feel like they are successful!
