About Jay
The most important thing to me is building a relationship with students! Constantly praising them showing them that i care more than just teaching them lessons. I love when i see them improve, and become proud of their work. I try to make my lessons as fun and entertaining as possible, but also at a very structured learning pace.

You will learn the basics of
grammar, vocabulary, fingerspelling, and cultural information related to the deaf community. Such as the ABC’s, numbers, how to introduce yourself, focus on the speed, clarity, and fluency. Deaf friendly conversation starters. The importance of facial expressions, and emotion. The history of deaf culture, and how ASL was discovered. How to get a deaf persons attention, and learn what it means to be deaf friendly. Learn the history and controversy behind hearing aids and cochlear implants. I am also open to anything else you’d like to learn or talk about :)
