About Michael
I’m Michael and I have a certain passion for knowing how music can enrich our lives, and I would love to give that to other people! I started playing cornet and trumpet at the age of 9 and have been playing ever since.
I work in education full time and spend my days giving new experiences to children in the great outdoors.
I am hard working and organised and would love to take you on as a student

I believe music is best taught with a teacher with passion and a student who is guided through music there own way, at their own pace, and with what interests them. The lessons I offer are student driven, based around where they want to get with the instrument and what they want to play.
Lessons lengths would be 30 minutes or 60 minutes depending on the needs of the student.
I graduated from Leeds conservative in 2019 with a degree in classics and Jazz trumpet performance and composition, and have experience teaching music small children, teenagers and adults. I work in the outdoor education industry so I have a particular specialism teaching children and teenagers. I have performed and directed brass bands, jazz orchestras and have played in orchestras.
