About Ivan
I'm a recent Whitgift School graduate with a passion for history, politics, languages, and helping students achieve their academic goals. As Head of Politics Outlook at Whitgift, I led discussions on current affairs and developed strong communication and mentoring skills. I've also secured my place to study Law at King's College London this September.
Having recently completed the GCSE and IB courses myself, I know exactly what examiners are looking for and the common mistakes that cost students marks. I achieved 42 points in the IB, including 7s in Higher Level English and History, a 6 in Higher Level Global Politics, a 7 in Standard Level Maths, and 6s in Environmental Systems & Societies and Spanish.
I'm also fluent in Russian, having completed both GCSE and A Level Russian, and I offer tutoring in Russian for students looking to improve their fluency, confidence, or exam performance.
My aim is simple: help students understand the content, master exam technique, and build the confidence to achieve the highest grades they're capable of.

I tailor every lesson to the student's strengths and weaknesses, identifying gaps in knowledge and building confidence in the areas that matter most.
