About Emma
I graduated with a degree in liberal arts and have tutored and taught elementary-high school kids for the past 8 years. I know what it's like to feel like you're failing in a subject, to feel like everyone else understands and you don't and feel even like it's impossible for you to understand. I'm so thankful that I also know what it's like to have someone who believes in you come along side you and encourage you to face your fears. I'm ready to help and hold hands as students learn, but my greatest desire is to bring students to a place where they no longer need me. I want to instill confidence in students so that they can pursue subjects with excellence.

My passion is to help students love subjects and not dread them. I long to encourage students and help them know that they can do the next challenging thing. I want to meet elementary-high school age students at their level of understanding and from there, journey with them to help them grow. Often subjects feel overwhelming, but when approached bit by bit, they make more sense. I want to run along side students at their pace, but also push them when they might doubt themselves. I am indebted to the teachers who believed in me when I was doubting my own capabilities, and I want to do that for others.
