About Giorgia

I am a 24 year old girl finishing college. I am studying to become a teacher of Italian for foreigners and at the moment I speak and study several languages: English, French, Spanish and Chinese. It is not the first time that I try myself in the field of repetitions: I have been helping children between 7 and 16 years with their homework for years and, to date, I count many satisfactions. I also had the opportunity to do an internship in a high school and to work in a language center in my city, in close contact with teachers and students, who taught me a lot, both professionally and on a human level. I am an extremely simple, patient and understanding girl. I consider myself very open to dialogue and I believe that this is fundamental for this work: most of the time, young people just want to be heard and to listen has often helped me to detect more or less serious cases of dyslexia, dysgraphia and dysorthography, which are treatable, obviously, with specialists in the sector.

About the lesson

My approach to the subjects is very free: I try to adapt to the needs of the children to whom I give lessons with a lot of patience, until I am sure I have been clear enough in the explanation.
I rarely limit my lessons to the superficial study of the subject : I want children or young people to enter headlong into what they study, especially when it comes to languages, which by the way is my field of study. Initially, I accompany them in the study of matter, I try to understand how they move and when I realize that they are working, I add other information by means of multimedia contents (video, audio, photographs, anecdotes ...).
