About Mariana
Discovered by Grammy award-winning Producer and Songwriter Om’Mas Keith, known for albums such as “Channel Orange” and “Blonde”. Together they’ve collaborated with artists such as Anderson Paak, Amine, Kendrick Lamar, and more! In 2019, Mariana won a Grammy nomination for her work on the Spiderman: Into The Spiderverse Soundtrack Album. Mariana studied Keyboard Performance and Music Production at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, but believes there is always more to learn, so is actively continuing to study jazz piano under the mentorship of Grammy award-winning jazz pianist Taylor Graves, known for his work on the discography of the Grammy-winning jazz-pop fusion artist Thundercat.

Exploring topics from how to build a major chord to song structures throughout different genres, how to analyze your favorite songs, learn theory behind chord progressions, how to apply different songwriting formulas to your own music, lyrical development, and more! Will go through the process of writing a song together, with my help and advice along the way, aswell as help with any existing songs you currently have.

Mariana has taught me personally over the past year. I can truly say I have never retained more information when learning an instrument than learning under her. She also took all of the fear out of the idea of learning theory. It can be a daunting idea but I feel completely safe to learn at my pace and to mess up in her space. I could keep going but the point is I could not recommend Mariana enough as a teacher!
Mariana is an authentic conveyor of music and out human connection to it. She gives a clear definition in her curriculum that helps you at any level to connect to what seems technical. I left my lesson feeling empowered to take on new skills as an artist. Specifically learning music theory and hope to be a pro in mixing and mastering.
Mariana creates a great learning environment by her gentle compassionate energy and warmth. She checks for understanding and makes you feel equipped to be an expert just like her!
