About Elsa

I am an independent postdoctoral scholar (PhD in Public Policy), writer, and researcher with over fifteen years of experience spanning academia, policy analysis, and creative inquiry. My work bridges research and storytelling, exploring themes of belonging, resilience, and social change through both scholarly and artistic lenses. What inspires me most as a mentor is witnessing students grow in confidence and clarity, not just mastering their subjects, but finding their own voice within them. I believe that learning is a dialogue, not a lecture; a space where curiosity and authenticity meet. Having worked on development and governance across South Asia and the Middle East, I bring a global perspective grounded in empathy and lived experience. Whether guiding a student through a research proposal, thesis draft, or personal statement, I aim to make each exchange meaningful, empowering, and tailored to their unique journey. My approach is both rigorous and compassionate, understanding that scholarship is not only about knowledge, but about purpose, connection, and transformation.

About the lesson

I take a personalized and collaborative approach to tutoring and teaching. Each session is designed around the student’s goals, learning style, and personal journey, because no two learners are the same.

My Method:
I blend academic rigor with creative, arts-based methods such as reflective writing, storytelling, and visual thinking exercises. These approaches help students engage more deeply with complex ideas while expressing their voice with authenticity and confidence. Lessons are interactive and dialogical; we learn by discussing, exploring, and reflecting together.

A Typical Session:
We begin by getting to know one another, identifying your goals, challenges, and inspirations. From there, I tailor the lesson plan around your current work or area of study, whether it’s refining research design, improving writing clarity, or developing new perspectives on policy and society.

What Sets Me Apart:
My experience bridges academia, field research, and mentorship. Students value my balance of intellectual depth and empathy, and my ability to help them see their work and themselves from new, empowering angles.

Who My Lessons Are For:
Undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, and early-career professionals in public policy, political science, or related fields seeking one-on-one guidance to enhance research, writing, and professional growth.
