About Jemima
I am a theatre student at the Guildford School of Acting and a specialist drama teacher at Stagecoach Godalming. I have been training as a dancer and actor for 8 years both vocationally and academically. Prior to starting at the Guildford School of Acting I trained as an actor on the Italia Conti acting foundation programme in London. My specialist areas include audition technique, Shakespeare studies, improvisation, script work and analysis of theatrical text.

I approach teaching performing arts from a position of creativity and innovation. I tailor my exercises and lessons to the student's age, ability and interests and therefore every lesson is different. For students who struggle with text work and/or reading, I like to bring the work off the page, working with improvisation and visual elements. For students who struggle to improvise, I work from a script and gradually assist them in taking this away, building up to a structured improvisation.
Every lesson I teach is different but they all come from a place of creativity and problem solving to get the most out of the student. The performing arts are highly collaborative and therefore I encourage students to feed back what they enjoy and offer suggestions as to how they would like to progress, in order to craft a unique and enjoyable experience.
