About Lila
I have 11 years of teaching experience and hold a PhD in Music Performance. My journey with the guitar began through a deep appreciation for how music can communicate emotion, energy, and personal stories. Over time, that passion grew into a career focused on helping others discover the same joy through learning.
My teaching approach combines structure with creativity. I enjoy helping students understand not only how to play music but also how to express themselves through it. Every lesson is adapted to support the learner’s pace, interests, and long-term goals.
Outside teaching, I enjoy composing original music, exploring different genres, and studying performance techniques. These experiences allow me to bring fresh ideas into lessons and keep learning engaging. Helping students develop confidence and musical independence remains one of the most rewarding parts of my profession.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students become confident musicians through a balance of technique, creativity, and practical music-making. We work on chord fluency, fingerstyle patterns, rhythm accuracy, lead guitar development, ear training, and song interpretation using structured yet enjoyable learning methods. I focus on helping students understand how music works so they can play with greater freedom and confidence.
Each lesson is personalized to match the learner’s interests and goals. New players build solid foundations through guided exercises and simple songs, while experienced students refine their phrasing, improvisation, and performance abilities. Lessons include practical challenges that encourage steady growth without feeling overwhelming.
I create a supportive learning environment where students feel motivated to experiment and improve. Regular feedback helps learners track progress while building confidence in their musical abilities. My goal is to help students enjoy the guitar while developing skills that last for years.
