About Dave
I am a professional guitarist who has toured with an afrojazz band. Growing up, my native African culture and music has had a lot of influence on my musicianship. The rich rhythm and harmony of Soukous or complex polyrhythm of Afrobeat. Over my years of playing I have integrated them into my study of western standard jazz.
I wish to share this knowledge just as it has been passed down to me by great African afrojazz guitarists

About the lesson

We will begin by assessing current skills and building /reinforcing fundamentals as needed i.e. Chords, scales etc. Then using these as tools we will explore your creative expression in different genres of music. I specialize in Afrojazz guitar combining my native African music with aspects of western standard jazz music
A lesson will typically take 40 minutes to 1 hour depending on the intensity of lesson and speed of student.
Having had 6yrs experience in guitar and specialized in afrojazz guitar for the last 3, I believe I have the experience to guide guitarists who are interested in pursuing this genre and broadly any other genre.
These lessons are for beginner to intermediate guitarists looking to either start or advance their skills in guitar
