About Marlo
I have 10 years of teaching experience and hold a PhD in Music Education. Over the years, I have guided students through different musical styles while helping them develop confidence and strong foundational skills. Teaching music allows me to share both knowledge and enthusiasm with learners of all levels.
My teaching philosophy centers on patience, encouragement, and practical application. I believe students learn best when lessons are engaging and connected to their personal interests. Whether focusing on technique, performance, or creativity, I support learners through every stage of development.
Outside teaching, I enjoy performing, arranging music, and studying different guitar traditions. These experiences continue to inspire my teaching and broaden my musical perspective. I am passionate about helping students achieve meaningful progress and enjoy making music with confidence.

My guitar lessons combine technique, creativity, and musical enjoyment in a structured learning environment. Students work on chord transitions, rhythm playing, lead guitar techniques, fingerstyle patterns, tone control, and song performance. I focus on helping learners build confidence while developing practical musical skills.
Lessons are tailored to individual goals and interests. Some students focus on contemporary songs and accompaniment, while others explore theory, improvisation, and performance techniques. I provide clear demonstrations and step-by-step guidance to ensure steady progress throughout the learning process.
I enjoy helping learners strengthen both technical ability and musical expression. Students receive personalized feedback, performance support, and encouragement to explore their own musical voice. My aim is to make guitar learning rewarding, engaging, and enjoyable for every student.
