About Selene
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance and have 8 years of teaching experience working with guitar students at various levels. My interest in guitar started with a love for music and grew into a strong passion for both playing and teaching. Over the years, I have helped many students develop confidence and strong technical skills.
My teaching approach focuses on patience, clarity, and practical learning. I break down techniques into simple steps so students can understand them easily and build confidence gradually. I use demonstrations, exercises, and personalized guidance to support steady improvement. I also adapt my teaching style based on each student’s pace and comfort level.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing guitar and exploring different musical styles to stay inspired and improve my skills. Teaching guitar is very fulfilling because I see students grow in confidence and ability over time. Helping them enjoy music and express themselves motivates me to continue teaching with dedication and enthusiasm.

Learning guitar becomes much more enjoyable when students understand the basics of rhythm and technique instead of only trying to play songs without proper foundation. My lessons focus on building strong skills in chord transitions, strumming patterns, finger positioning, and basic music theory through clear and simple explanations. I guide students step by step so they can develop smooth playing habits and avoid common mistakes. I also include exercises that improve timing, coordination, and sound clarity, helping students feel more confident with each session. The learning environment is relaxed and supportive, allowing students to practice comfortably and ask questions freely.
I design my lessons based on each student’s level and goals to ensure steady improvement. Beginners focus on basic chords, simple strumming patterns, and easy songs. Intermediate learners work on chord progressions, rhythm variation, and fingerstyle techniques. Advanced students focus on lead guitar, improvisation, and performance skills. Practice exercises, song-based learning, and detailed feedback are included to support continuous progress and skill development.
Guitar also helps students develop creativity, coordination, and confidence in self-expression. As they improve, they become more comfortable playing independently and exploring different styles of music. Many students enjoy the flexibility of guitar as it allows them to express their personality through sound. My goal is to make guitar learning engaging, structured, and enjoyable for every learner.
