About Malia
I earned a Master’s Degree in Guitar Performance and Sound Design after years of focused learning in instrumental performance, composition, and creative audio production during my academic studies. During the past 8 years, I have guided students from different musical backgrounds and experience levels, helping them improve through personalised instruction and supportive mentorship. Teaching guitar allows me to combine creativity, communication, and artistic expression in a deeply rewarding way. I enjoy helping learners become more confident musicians through practical and engaging lessons.
My teaching style focuses on flexibility, patience, and balanced musical development. Some students improve best through technical repetition and structured exercises, while others respond more naturally to improvisation and creative exploration. I carefully adjust lessons according to each learner’s confidence level, comfort, and artistic goals. Along with technical development, I help students strengthen rhythm awareness, listening ability, expressive playing, and performance confidence. Building a welcoming and encouraging learning atmosphere remains one of my highest priorities as a teacher.
Outside teaching, I continue practising guitar, exploring different music genres, and studying educational methods that help keep lessons inspiring and engaging. Music remains an important source of creativity and emotional expression in my life. One of the most fulfilling parts of teaching is seeing students become more expressive and self-assured throughout their musical journey.

My guitar lessons focus on helping students improve technical ability while developing confidence and creative expression through engaging and organised practice sessions. I teach chord progressions, rhythm accuracy, finger coordination, strumming patterns, improvisation, and tone control using practical exercises that feel approachable for learners at every level. Lessons also include fingerstyle practice, ear training, timing activities, solo development, and musical interpretation tasks that help students improve steadily through regular repetition. I create a supportive learning atmosphere where students feel comfortable experimenting creatively while building strong technical foundations. Every lesson supports both musical growth and artistic individuality together.
Beginners focus on tuning, posture, simple chord shapes, and rhythm counting through patient guidance and structured routines that build healthy playing habits gradually. Intermediate learners improve smoother transitions, expressive control, improvisation ability, and fingerstyle coordination through guided exercises and focused studies. Advanced students strengthen advanced rhythm techniques, stage confidence, solo interpretation, and performance preparation through detailed coaching sessions. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s pace, personality, and musical goals so progress remains balanced and motivating throughout the learning process.
Learning guitar should feel rewarding, exciting, and personally meaningful. I encourage students to appreciate gradual improvement while building confidence through supportive feedback and regular practice. Many learners become more expressive and independent as their musical understanding develops naturally over time. My goal is to help students strengthen both technical ability and artistic confidence while building a lasting connection with music.
