About Siya
I hold a B.Mus in Guitar Performance and Modern Music Studies and have 11 years of experience teaching guitar to students with different musical goals and backgrounds. My own musical journey taught me the importance of consistency, exploration, and supportive guidance, which shapes how I teach today. My teaching style is encouraging, adaptable, and student-focused. I take time to understand each learner’s interests, strengths, and challenges so lessons feel engaging and achievable. I believe strong fundamentals create musical freedom and confidence. Outside of teaching, I continue performing, studying new techniques, and exploring diverse musical genres. Teaching guitar is deeply fulfilling because I witness students grow creatively and personally. Supporting their musical confidence and expression is something I truly value.

My guitar lessons are designed to help students feel relaxed and confident while developing strong technical foundations. I focus on posture, hand positioning, chord transitions, rhythm accuracy, strumming patterns, fingerstyle technique, and musical timing. Lessons progress steadily, allowing students to absorb skills fully without feeling rushed.
Beginners focus on basic chords, rhythm awareness, clean transitions, and simple songs. Intermediate learners explore barre chords, scales, fingerpicking patterns, improvisation basics, and stylistic variety. Advanced students work on tone control, advanced harmony, solo construction, performance preparation, and expressive interpretation. Each lesson includes guided exercises, repetition, and personalized feedback to support consistent improvement.
Guitar learning also builds coordination, patience, and creative confidence. Many students enjoy the ability to accompany themselves or others musically. My goal is to help learners enjoy making music while developing skills that allow them to express themselves freely.
