About Jay
I’m Jay Sambuco, a Berklee College of Music graduate and the guitarist of NXCRE / The Villains. Our music has surpassed 100 million streams, and our song “Usurper” charted on the Billboard Rock charts. I’ve toured across the United States and internationally, played major venues, and spent years writing, recording, and performing at a high level.
I bring that real-world experience into every lesson. I don’t just teach theory or basic chords — I help students develop actual technique, songwriting skills, and the kind of playing that sounds good on stage and in the studio. Whether you’re just starting or already intermediate and want to level up, lessons are fully customized to your goals.
I’ve lived the musician life: touring, releasing music, and constantly refining my craft. Now I help other players skip years of trial and error and get better faster.

I teach practical, real-world guitar — not rigid textbook methods. Lessons are fully customized whether you’re a complete beginner or an intermediate player looking to improve technique, solos, songwriting, and overall feel. Jay is a very patient and understanding teacher. He can teach all ages and connect with anyone.
