About Gil
Learn Guitar from a 55-Year Touring Pro — No Theory, Just Real Playing I'm Gil Edwards, and I’ve spent the last 55 years doing what most guitar teachers only talk about—touring, recording, fronting bands, and performing live across 15 countries and 11 U.S. states. I was the lead singer in a top Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band in Norway (The Clearwaters), I’ve jammed with Canned Heat, Uriah Heep, and opened for acts like Spencer Davis, The Blasters, and Nazareth. I’m not a classroom guy. I won’t bog you down with music theory or sheet music, unless you ask for it. My method is simple: > You’ll learn real songs, clean rhythm, how to keep time, and how to sound like a musician—because you’ll be learning from one.

Strum cleanly and stay in time
Change chords without stopping
Play full songs start to finish
Jam with others or a backing track
Build a basic setlist you can perform
Handle yourself on stage (if that’s your goal)
