About Nico
I am an experienced Guitar tutor with over 15 years of teaching college students. My goal is to make guitar learning practical, creative, and enjoyable.
My teaching style is friendly and adaptable. I understand that college students have different schedules and learning styles. I plan lessons that are flexible, clear, and focused on progress.
I use innovative teaching techniques such as song-based lessons, structured warm-ups, and technique-focused exercises. Students learn chords, strumming, fingerpicking, and rhythm by playing real music. I also use backing tracks to build confidence.
Music theory is explained in a clear and simple way so students can understand how it works on the guitar. I also encourage creative activities like improvisation and simple composition.
I create a supportive learning space where students feel motivated. My aim is to help college students build strong guitar skills and enjoy their musical journey.

My Guitar teaching methodology combines creativity, critical thinking, mentorship, and accountability. I believe learning music should be exciting, engaging, and rewarding. Lessons encourage improvisation, songwriting, and exploring different musical styles, helping students develop their own sound.
Critical thinking is central to my approach. I guide students to understand chord progressions, scales, and song patterns so they can analyze music, improvise, and overcome challenges independently.
I emphasize accountability by helping students set goals, practice regularly, and monitor progress. Feedback and encouragement build confidence and motivation.
In addition to Guitar, I teach music theory, ear training, performance techniques, and composition. Lessons are tailored to the student’s level, pace, and interests, making learning both fun and effective.
My goal is to mentor students into independent, creative musicians who enjoy playing, composing, and performing music.
