About Karen
My teaching experience is broad, I have taught basic skills to adults and lectured in student support at university level. I have taught a range of age groups from primary to adult. Having the luxury of teaching one to one helps to build strong teacher/student relationships that are vital to success. Each valuable hour of my teaching requires at least an hours preparation time. My students receive quality personal tutoring in their learning style at an appropriate level.

I tutor students at all levels in English and Maths. My special area is learning difficulties and I work with student that have a range of barriers to overcome. My focus is to teach students in the style that they learn best. My position of teaching one to one allows me to build personalised learning programmes to facilitate independent learning. Students then loose the fear of failing and therefore develop a 'can do' attitude which brings a willingness to try and experience success. My aim is to help my students reach their true genetic potential.
