About Jenny
I was born in Beijing, China and lived there until I turned 15. I went to high school in Finland, and then college and graduate school in the US. I studied literacy for my undergraduate study and got a Master of Education for my graduate study. I started doing Math and Mandarin tutoring since year 2003, at the local high school where I went to college at. After I graduated I returned to Beijing and became an English teacher. After about 4 years, I started doing course design and textbook content development for English and Math in a big publishing press in Beijing. After another 8 years I decided to go back to teaching, and especially for primary and secondary kids so I came to New Zealand studying for a Graduate Diploma in teaching. I will graduate and become a registered teacher in June 2026.
