About Sarah
I have been a CPS high school ESL (English as a Second Language) and English teacher for 11 years and am also certified for middle school. I am currently teaching at an elementary school that is K-8 and am thoroughly enjoying the experience. An important thing to know about me is that I have taught students with all different beliefs, cultures, and learning styles and I know I can help your child too! I love what I do and it is extremely rewarding when I see the results of us learning together!

My goal is to make learning accessible. Each student learns in a different way and it is important to find an approach that works for them before forming a lesson. The next step is learning about the student through an introductory project. I model this first and the student also learns about me. It is essential for a student to see you as a human being and not just an educator. This way you form a connection and are able to build a lesson thereafter.
