About Carol
I love it when my students are successful in the classroom, but also when they are learning life skills as well. My husband and I are grandparents to 14, soon to be 15, grandchildren and feel that skills, common sense, and knowledge are needed for them to be successful. I help with their schoolwork frequently, and yes, they get frustrated when I do not just "give" them answers, but they feel good about themselves when they are able to successfully complete a lesson by themselves with little guidance. I would love to help your student be successful within their schoolwork, and more importantly help build their confidence to know that they be and do anything they choose!

This is my 17th year in the classroom, and I still love my job and students! I am very comfortable teaching social studies at all grade levels. I have also worked side by side with my team members in reading and writing which is incorporated into my lessons daily. Most of my 17 years has been in 8th grade social studies, although for 5 years I have taught 6th grade as well. I enjoy working with students of all ages and love the satisfied looks when they learn they can "do hard things". I feel social studies is very important and incorporating reading and writing into my lessons only helps students achieve success in all areas of life. I also enjoy working with elementary students in all subject areas. They are so eager to learn and making it fun for them helps them to be successful in their studies! I am the teacher that doesn't freely give answers but directions to help my students find the answers.
