About Preston
I am 18 years old and from Southern California. I have lived here my entire life and will continue to for the next four years as I will be attending Pepperdine University this fall. I am sympathetic to those who balance many things at once like school work, sports, relations, jobs, etc. For the past 6 years, I have been student-athlete playing lacrosse and soccer for Sierra Canyon. Second to math, economics is my favorite class because it is an outlet to apply math to the real world. I am eager to learn more and a great way to do so is by teaching to further grasp my true understanding of these topics I hope to teach.

WIthin other subjects during my academic career, I struggled to grasp different topics and ideas in things like my history or english classes. I am not fond of the idea that there are no right answers in these courses and to succeed, your reasoning must fit the attitude of the teacher. On the other hand, math is fun and math is always true. There are many ways to find the answer to a problem, but there remains one correct answer. The exciting part with math comes from the problem-solving and attitude going into each question. My enthusiasm for math is a great environment for a student to learn and learn to love math. I am open-minded as an individual and can alter the thought process of solving a problem to each student's needs and desires.
